Pastor Mick

Pastor Mick is Pastor Emeritus at Calvary. He spent over 45 years in the ministry and was pastor of Calvary, Oroville for about 20 years back in the 1980’s and 1990’s. He and his wife Tammy, retired back to Oroville 8 years ago. They are parents of 3 sons now residing in the San Rafael, CA area. They enjoy boating and pastor likes to fish and do wood turning.

Pastor Jeff Tuft

Jeff is currently enrolled in the Specific Ministry Pastor Program at Concordia Seminary – St. Louis.   He completed the Licensed Lay Deacon program through Mission Training Center, Concordia University – Portland, in September 2019.

 Most recently, Jeff has been ordained and installed as the Pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church.  Jeff originally attended Calvary in the 1970’s and 1980’s with his parents and brothers. Jeff and his kids, and now granddaughter, have been back at Calvary since 2018.   Jeff enjoys spending time outdoors in his free time.

President Marvin Binder

I grew up in Southern California and moved to Chico in 1974. Soon, I met my wife, Dorothy and we eventually moved to Oroville in 1978. We’ve been members of Calvary Lutheran Church ever since.  We really have found our place here at Calvary. The friends we have met, are friends for life. My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding.” I take comfort in that. You can take comfort in the Lord and with His leading, I think you can find your place here too.
